After working for a number of years as a photographer, Andreas Schwarzer started his career in film and advertising as a focus puller for DOPs the likes of Sebastian Pfaffenbichler, Ed Lachman and Andreas Berger. Eventually, Schwarzer himself advanced to DOP and became a close collaborator of Michael Bindlechner, an internationally acclaimed tabletop (food) director.

Andreas quickly earned a reputation as a specialist in food & tabletop demos, which has made him an important member of the Frames filmproduktion creative pool for over 10 years. Beyond his work as a DOP, Andreas’ skilled eye and creative vision make him a natural as a director, in which role he has already realized a number of food & tabletop TV spots.

Andreas is used to working with a variety of different camera formats, including 35mm, Arri Alexa, Red and Canon 5D. He also has extensive experience with motion control systems and high-speed cameras (35mm & HD), as well as 3D stereo photography.

Starting in 2012, Andreas Schwarzer is available for worldwide booking as director of photography or director/DOP – both on a freelance basis.
